Change your power. Change your future.
Q CELLS is celebrating the tenth year of its Australian operations with the launch of a new campaign, ‘Change your power. Change your future.’
Q CELLS’ Australia Marketing & Key Account Director, Myungsin Shim, said that Q CELLS was proud of what it has achieved in the Australian market.
“Since establishing our Australian operations in 2009, Q CELLS has worked tirelessly to embed itself within the Australian solar industry, partnering with installers and distributors to guarantee supply and provide the unique offer of locally-based support,” Ms Shim said.
“Over the past ten years, we have seen a massive change in the Australian solar market as consumers have rapidly embraced solar technology. With more than two million Australian homes now having rooftop solar, the promise of independence from the grid is becoming deeply ingrained in the national psyche.
“Yet with a market flooded with low quality modules, complicated jargon and less-than -promised results, consumers are looking for a solar panel manufacturer that offers proven quality and peace of mind.
“In response, Q CELLS is launching its new campaign to share the learnings from our twenty-year experience at the forefront of the global solar industry, ten of which have been spent right here.”
“We know the power that our local support base offers to our customers and the commitment that our 25-year performance warranties mean for sustained, long-term results.”
The campaign theme – ‘Change your power. Change your future’ – showcases Q CELLS’ position as one of the leaders in solar R&D, supported by its local Australian operations and is targeted at consumers who are looking for reliable, quality solar products at the best value.
“Our approach – Change your power. Change your future. – is all about getting Australians to consider going solar but with an informed decision. Essentially, making the smart choice,” Ms Shim said.

According to the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) more than two million, or 21 per cent, of Australian households now have rooftop solar PV, with a combined capacity exceeding 10 GW.
Ms Shim continued: “Australia already has some of the highest levels of solar penetration in the world, but the market is still primed for further growth.”
“We are committed to leveraging our experience, technical and manufacturing expertise, and deep understanding of the Australian market to give consumers the knowledge they need to make an informed decision and get the results and returns they expect.
“Our vision is for a fully sustainable Australia, powered in partnership with Q CELLS.”
As part of its commitment to Australia, Q CELLS tests its modules’ performance in arguably the country’s harshest climate, Alice Springs at the Desert Knowledge Solar Centre where they consistently achieve excellent performance results.
Furthermore, in an environment where we increasingly face the likelihood and severity of extreme weather, Q CELLS panels are cyclone tested to withstand the equivalent of 1 in 500 year wind events in Australia’s tropical north.
Myungsin Shim concluded: “We want to empower Australian businesses and consumers with the knowledge that the choices they make today, pay them back for years to come.
“It’s essentially a new way to think about your power and create a brighter future for us all.”
